Some good comments from ___________ on why some groups like the jw's attract people. I would like to make a few comments concerning his first thought so that we might not go too far to the other extreme:

>1. Exclusive knowledge- ie. we know something the rest of the world doesn't.

Remember that only God's inspired Word is correct. In fact, we could ALL be wrong! Only by going to the inspired Word of God can we find out if we are 'right with God', if we are actually 'true worshipper's'.

What the 'rest of the world' might know or believe has nothing to do with what is 'correct' concerning knowledge from God. For example, the denominational world claims that anyone who doesn't agree with their 'doctrine's' are 'cults', and have 'exclusive knowledge', because their 'teachings' are not followed. But when you examine the 'denominational concept' of religion, you find that it came from the 'mind of men', not out
of the pages of the inspired Word of God.

What makes the jw's wrong is the simple fact that God didn't authorize that religious organization (wb&ts), nor many of the teaching's they put forth. Notice that I said 'many'! The devil is very subtle and crafty, he knows how to get men to mix Truth and falsehood together, and entwine them so it is very difficult to get them separated again!

The jw's do teach 'some truth', as do the denominations, yet there are many 'man-made' doctrines entwined with that Truth! Many of the Kings of old among God's people tried to worship Him 'and' false gods. It won't work. With our Creator it's 'all or nothing'! Either we seek to be His kind of worshipper, a 'true worshipper' (John 4:23,24), or we are worshipping God in vain (Matthew 15:8,9), and we won't be accepted in the last day (Matthew 7:21-23).

I agree with the points Dave is making, I just wanted to point out some specific thoughts about his first comment.

May we all study our Bibles more each day, and accept only the Truth.

Praise God for His great love toward us, to make a way for us through His only begotten Son.

Yours in Christ,
David
